Start and Stop

"We need the courage to start and continue what we should do, and the courage to stop what we shouldn't do."

By; Richard L. Evans

There are many things that we do bad in our lives, but there is also a lot of things that we do good. We need to make sure we stop doing the wrong things. We need to make sure we make ourselves strong and that we do not give in into the bad things in this world. We should put all of our strength into being better people. We should have the courage to do the right thing and so no to all the bad influences. I myself have to stop many bad habits that I have developed throughout my life. I have to have courage and let the bad habits go and welcome some new and good habits. I have started and will continue doing better at school and giving it my best. I have to stop letting others get into my head and bring me down. This quote is very powerful because many things can be applied to it. It is a multidimensional quote and does not only apply to a certain group of people, it applies to everyone.

They may use x-rays or plaster molds of the patient’s teeth to find the problem. They may give the patient braces, retainers, and space maintainers to correct problems. They are also responsible for planning custom treatment plans for each patient according to their needs.

Reflection: I would not want to be orthodontics because it seems like it is a lot of responsibility and also because I don’t think I would be able to work with people and their mouths.

Another

" When you tell one lie, it leads to another"

By: Paul Hatch

What this quote means to me is that if you tell a lie you are going to be trapped in a web of lies. The moment you tell one lie then you have gotten yourself in a whole lot of trouble. Telling one lie leads you to telling more to cover up that first lie. I remember once when I was in the 9th grade I really wanted to go watch a movie so I lied to my mom. That day we were supposed to have a performance at school but it was cancelled two days before. I told my mom it was still going on just so I could go. That day I went but then my mom kept calling asking where I was. I kept telling her I was at school so then she told me she was telling my brother to go pick me up. I had to come up with many m ore lies just to get her from catching me on my first lie. I felt bad for lying but there was no going back at what I had done I was afraid of the consequences. I got trapped in a web of lies and I did not like it one bit. I told her the truth of what had really happened and I got my phone taken away. I did not complain because I had earned the punishment.

School Break Days

                                                    Winter Break

This winter break I spent most of it with my family. The very first day of winter break I went ice skating with my best friend; it was a great way to begin my break. The first week of vacation family came down from San Francisco and Bakersfield to spend Christmas here. Christmas was pretty fun hanging out with family members I did not see for most of the year and catching up. The second week I went to Bakersfield to celebrate new year’s there. For the most part I spent it watching Christmas movies. Even though Christmas had already passed I still enjoyed the movies. I watched the polar express one of my favorite childhood movies and I watched my overall favorite movie Frozen. The third and final week I spent it at home. I read The Fault in Our Stars twice, and began reading Reconstructing Amelia which I still have to finish. The rest of my time I spent it watching television series on Netflix or watching movies. This winter was not very exciting as others yet I enjoyed my time off and had a pretty good time with family.

Final Part 1

                      Class/Self Evaluation
1. Something that I liked about this class is that I was able to develop my typing skills. I am not the best typer or even close to being the best typer, but I have gotten a bit better. Another thing that I liked about this class is that I was able to practice my writing. I also liked the quotes and learning about the people that said the quotes. Some quotes were very important because I could relate to them and I understood what they meant. It was easy to take the quotes and relate them to something I had gone through or something that I can possibly go through in the future.
The one thing that I did not like about the class was that some students had unnecessary comments or just had a bad attitude towards some activities.
2. I would love to say that I always tried my best, but I would be lying. There were a few days where I just did my work because I had to and did not really put much effort into it. I could have worked harder, despite me having a few bad days I feel like I did well in this class.
3. I would also love to say that I am committed to choosing the right but I can't. I have done a lot better this year on choosing the right and it has really paid off, but there are still sometimes were I choose the wrong. I have tried a lot harder and I would say 95% of the time I have chosen the right. That 5% still remains and I am still working on it, on being able to get rid of that shameful 5%.

Senior Project

                                    Senior Project

For the seniors it's a whole different ball game. As seniors we have to create a portfolio that proves that we are ready to graduate high school and that we are ready to succeed in the real world. This portfolio will contain 8 artifacts, each artifact represents a certain task. This artifacts are work that we have done in our high school years. Seniors did not have to do the IDP showcase this semester but we did have a part in the IDP I myself was a part of the panel. My job was to evaluate the student and their presentations. It was something great to experience because well i get to see what it was like to be on the side. I g ot to experience what it is like to be able to grade. It was fun.

Right

"Always do right."

By: Mark Twain

What this quote means is that you should always do the right thing. If you do the right thing then you will be better off than those who choose to do the wrong thing. Doing the right thing makes you a hard working person. If you are a hard worker than you will open up many doors for yourself. For example if you push yourself for the four years of high school you are guaranteed that you will make it into a 4 year university. Doing the right thing will then pay off because you will have a great chance at getting into the school of your dreams. There can also be a possibility of you getting a full ride and be able to attend the university completely free. Hard work always pays off if you go on about life like it is not something important and you do as you lease then you will never get anywhere. You will never have half of the opportunities that you would have if you tried a little harder.  You should always do right, by doing so you will have a great life. You will have many great experiences and you will be able to create memories along the way.
