Ambulance Dispatcher
Duties and Responsibilities: Operate radio, telephone, or computer
equipment at emergency response centers. Receive reports from the public
of crimes, disturbances, fires, and medical or police emergencies. Pass on
information to law enforcement and emergency response personnel. May stay with
caller until responders arrive.
Salary: $36,000- $37,000
Education: At least a high school education. Training varies by state,
programs and courses may be offered through community and technical colleges, state
agencies, professional organizations or training facilities. Certification is
required in some states.
Reflection: This might be something I would consider doing because you
help people without you being in immediate danger. This could be a very easy
going job so that would be nice.
