Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a national holiday that is celebrated not only in the United States but in other countries as well. The first thanksgiving ever celebrated was celebrated by the pilgrims in Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts in 1621 after they survived a long winter. The colonist and Indians shared a meal or in better words shared dinner together. They shared this meal after their autumn harvest. It wasn’t until 1863 in the midst of the civil war that president Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national thanksgiving day to be held each November. Thanksgiving is celebrated by families gathering and doing their traditions. Some families go out on adventures while others stay in and cook ad have dinner together. Then the next day its Black Friday so many people go out and do their Christmas shopping. In my family we usually get together and have dinner. Family from Oregon and from up state come down to Los Angeles and we have our family dinner.

I am thankful for:

v Health
v Friends
v Boyfriend
v Food

v Done with college applications
v Those who made a positive impact in my life this year
