Education: Some opticians are only required a high school diploma, but most
employers prefer applicants with opticianry certificates or associate's
degrees. Associate's degree programs in opticianry prepare students with the
job skills needed for this job. Opticians may also gain experience through
apprenticeship programs, which are often offered by large employers and can
last up to two or more.
Being an
optician would not be an option for me because this does not get my attention.
Despite the fact that not much school is needed I would not want to take up a
job as an optician. The pay for an optician is not that great.
